The Geneva Conventions were created to "regulate" war, followed by other international treaties, but conflicts continue to erupt around the world, drawing soldiers and civilians into their violence and ambiguities. In this film, veterans of recent wars offer first-hand accounts of their experiences, and of the psychological scars and personal losses that are inflicted on war's participants, military and civilian.
