★★★★☆ Tomboy Survival Guide-Ivan Coyote

Loved all the family dynamics, the Grandmother, living in Nanaimo, I visited Nanaimo and still have fond memories of Nanaimo. Loved the advice to the young cousin to eat what her 90 year old grandmother got out of bed to make which ended up including the plastic wrapper of the cheese. Ivan was lucky to have Uncles and a Dad to teach him about tools, electronics, etc. I am glad I learned of the struggles of using the gender based washrooms- cannot remember the exact words, but sad to learn that a piece of their soul is chipped away at each cruel encounter.
