Photo Credit to the Saskatchewan Regional Parks AssociationThe Saskatchewan Library Association (SLA) is once again partnering with the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) and the Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association (SRPA) to offer free regional park passes this summer.

Starting from May 17 to Sept. 15, 2024, people with a valid library card can borrow a pass from any Saskatchewan library and enjoy a seven-day loan period with free access to nearly 100 regional parks across the province.

Saskatchewan’s regional parks provide a range of recreational opportunities for residents, from scenic hikes and lakes to secluded camping spots and world-class golf courses. The program aims to reduce barriers to participation and inspire people to connect with nature.

Passes must be borrowed in person and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Library customers are encouraged to contact their local branch to ensure availability.
